"Today, contemplate that it is God’s pleasure to give you the kingdom. Understand that it is your part to graciously accept. This moment by moment acceptance will ultimately transform any tendencies toward mediocrity. It will create within you a response of power, confidence and a willingness to more authentically express your true nature." ~ Rev. Michael Beckwith
"Take heart, life is on your side. You do not pray to withstand the blows of life. You pray to be receptive to the holy generosity of the Spirit that wants to shine itself through and as you." ~ Rev. Michael Beckwith
"We shall not arrive at a demonstration while we believe it is necessary to put energy into Spirit." ~ Ernest Holmes - Can We Talk to God

Being a licensed Practitioner for 22 years, I have been deeply involved in hundreds of opportunities to study, practice, teach, give and receive our form of prayer, Spiritual Mind Treatment. All of it has assisted me in transforming my life and given me the gift of witnessing the power of it in the lives of others. I was taught from the beginning that treatment was the most precious tool of the Science of Mind philosophy.
Recently I have become aware of the decline of those requesting prayer after services on Sunday and even on Sunday Evening. It has caused me to wonder what is the cause of it. i’ve heard from many congregants over the years about their reluctance to ask for prayer, to have sessions with Practitioners for a variety of reasons.
This 5th Sunday Evening, our wonderful team, Elias, Peggy and me are open to your questions, comments and contributions to our conversation regarding the giving and receiving of prayer. What do we believe about prayer treatment? Is there a hesitation or reluctance to ask and receive? What keeps you from engaging the practice and participation in this most wonderful tool?
