SUNDAY EVENING EXPLORATIONS Practitioner Maggie Cole “Vulnerability - You Decide” “Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change"  ~ Brene Brown   Words like Vulnerability, Empowerment, Integrity, Compassion, all so powerful and meaningful were remote, unused and foreign to me until I came into this teaching. I recall looking up the word “vulnerable” many years ago because I kept hearing it and the way it was being used, I resonated with it, without realizing it’s true meaning. In the dictionary one of the definitions was “open to attack” and there was an immediate understanding of the reasons why people didn’t want to be or even appear vulnerable.   What it your definition? What does this word mean to you? Is it something you embrace or reject? I look forward to share my views and hear your experience and expression of it. Let us explore it together. The conversation begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing. All are welcome.

4th Sunday - May 26 - 7:00 pm

SUNDAY EVENING EXPLORATIONS Practitioner Elias Owens “The Least of These - Jesus' Teaching on Compassion” “Truly I say to you, as you did it to the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. " ~ Jesus, Matthew 15:40  Jesus was the great teacher of love and compassion. What does it mean do and give "unto the least of these?" How do we practice active compassion for all? Join us on discussion of these questions and more.  See you Sunday night. The conversation begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing. All are welcome.

3rd Sunday - May 19 – 7:00 pm

SUNDAY EVENING EXPLORATIONS Krista McAtee “Got Compassion?” Photo by  Tim Marshall  on  Unsplash “The secret of spiritual power lies in a consciousness of one's union with the Whole, and the availability of Good. God is accessible to all people." ~ Ernest Holmes - Science of Mind, page 151.2   What does it mean to be truly compassionate? When are we less compassionate with ourselves or others? When do we see God in others and ourselves, or not? Together we will explore what blocks compassion and our understanding of Goodness. We will also practice ways to experience more compassion and Goodness in our lives. The conversation begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing. All are welcome.

2nd Sunday, UPDATED, May 12, 7 pm, Maggie Cole

SUNDAY EVENING EXPLORATIONS Practitioner Maggie Cole “Being Cared For?” THIS SUNDAY, MAY 12, 7 PM “Compassion is saying, how may I serve you?" ~ Rev. Michael Beckwith   Is there anyone who doesn't love the feeling of being cared for, being cared about, having our needs met in a loving and generous way? I don't think there is anyone who doesn't want to be met in this way. It is certainly up to each one of us to open ourselves to receive these gifts.   There are also a myriad of ways in which we respond to someone who may need our assistance from time to time. What is your response? What are these options? May we find our compassion, caring and open hearts in time of any need that presents itself. Please note that Tom McCurry was called out of town unexpectedly and will not be present. The conversation begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing. All are welcome.
