"Open to Your Heart's Yearning for 2019", Sunday, December 30, 7 pm

Photo by Sarah Ball on Unsplash On Sunday evening, December 30, we gather in spiritual community to listen to that still small voice within. Although that voice is always available, we seem to pay a bit more attention at year's end. Join Ministerial Intern Siota Belle, Practitioner Kathy Galvin, and Rev. Tara Steele in a sweet spiritual practice. First, we'll listen for what wants to emerge in 2019. Then we are invited to create an intention to move in the direction of our heart's yearning. Finally, we'll seal our vision with a circle of prayer.  We gather at the peace altar in the sanctuary at 7 pm on December 30. All are welcome.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Ministerial Intern, Dr. Siota Belle, "More Love, More Life," 7 pm, December 23

In the index to topics in the Science of Mind textbook, "love" takes up almost two pages. Here is just one of Ernest Holmes's commentaries on Love: "ALWAYS EXPECT THE GOOD. Have enthusiasm and, above all, have a consciousness of love -- a radiant feeling flowing through your consciousness at all times. Treat yourself until you have an inner sense of unity with all Good."                 Page 184:3  At the Sunday Evening Exploration, Ministerial Intern Siota Belle invites us to consider the question, How does love move you forward? All are welcome to the gathering that begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Sherry Vierra, RScP, "Who am I and Why am I here?" 7 pm, Sunday, December 9

Just because the question is big, the answer may not be as complicated as we think.  Let's talk about it. Practioner Sherry Vierra facilitates the conversation which begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing. All are welcome.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Practitioner Maggie Cole and Music by Star Tom, "Availability to God", 7 pm, December 2

Ralph Waldo Emerson said that the Universe remains to the heart unhurt, and Jesus said, “It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” This kingdom is something we do not earn; it is the gift of heaven. We may have refused to receive the gift; it has never been withheld. It is intended that we be happy. It is meant that we live to the full; that we sing and dance and be glad; that we love and be loved in return. Let’s make ourselves as available to God as God is to us, all the time. In our circle of conversation, facilitated by Maggie Cole, let's uncover our availability to God. It is here, always giving Itself to Itself, which is each one of us. In this unveiling, the kingdom of heaven is revealed. The gathering begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing, and is enriched by Tom McCurry's beautiful music.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Elias Owens RScP, "Loving without Attachment," 7 pm, November 25

Many Spiritual teachers/ traditions tell us that we suffer because we are attached to the outcome of our desires; of getting what we want and what we believe we deserve. Byron Katie says, “Personalities don’t love, they want something.” Can we truly love unconditionally? Without “needing” reciprocity? Let’s explore the idea of “being” Love, and the love that we are being sufficient unto itself. Practitioner Elias Owens leads the conversation which begins at 7 pm. All are welcome to this gathering in Room 11, North Wing.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Ministerial Intern Dr. Siota Belle, "Amplify Love," 7 pm, November 18

Are you struggling to find your center? Is it difficult to remember that, underneath all that is, Good is unfolding? Nothing brings relief faster than allowing more love in.  Sunday evening, Siota facilitates a conversation on the power of love. As trite as that phrase sometimes seems, the truth is that Love heals all, Love creates all, Love is all that is. Join in the discussion at 7 pm on November 18, in Waggoner Hall. All are welcome.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Practitioner Sherry Vierra, "Are You Operating Under Old Programming? Who Is Punishing You Now?", 7 pm, November 11

"When the stories of our life no longer bind us, we discover something greater."                                                                                                Jack  Kornfield De-cluttering is the most difficult step to rebuilding.  Parting with the old is bearable only if we have a vision of what might replace it.  This Sunday evening we will be talking about how to reprogram our response to life's challenges. All are welcome to the Sunday Evening Exploration to be in conversation about what is alive in you, to listen and to be heard. The gathering begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Megan Rooney, RScP, "Our Humanity Is a Compass to Our Divinity"

Here's what Practitioner Megan Rooney has to say about her Sunday evening discussion: Our human experiences of lack, loneliness, struggle or pain can be rich opportunities to notice how we are navigating through life. We may have gotten off course and are being invited to return to the True North, the Truth of our Divine nature. Joy, abundance, wisdom, and freedom are omnipresent. Love is the language and action of the Universe, and there can be no separation between us and All that IS. Sometimes, our human experience is a call to recalculate. Join Megan as she facilitates a conversation about the True North of who we are. All are welcome to this Sunday evening gathering that begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Sherry Vierra, RScP, "Are You Awake?" 7 pm, Sunday, October 14

We have been unconscious creators, so let's not condemn ourselves, but when we realize that by perfectly understanding the law - and working with it - we shall be able to bring into our lives just what we wish.  Ernest Holmes, " It's up to You! " p 45 Tonight, at the Sunday Evening Exploration, Practitioner Sherry Vierra facilitates a discussion of how to wake up and trust the Law, that Divine Yes available to us in each and every moment. The gathering begins at 7 pm in Room 11, North Wing. All are welcome.

Sunday Evening Exploration with Maggie Cole, RScP, "Circle of Affirmations," 7 pm, Sunday, October 7, Room 11

“Statements do not become true because you affirm them.  You affirm them because they are true.” Eric Butterworth Get into your conscious awareness that you live in substance as a fish lives in water. The important thing is to hold to the consciousness that you are created in substance and ceaselessly supported by substance. Turn from the appearance of lack to the reality of affluence as you declare for yourself: "I establish myself in the limitless substance of God and I have abundance." In our time together we will practice creating affirmations and declarations of abundance and prosperity for ourselves. This evening conversation is an opportunity to shift our thoughts, patterns and beliefs about where our source really is. Tom McCurry joins us again bringing his unique and lovely musical talent. "We Are One, Really!", Practitioner Maggie Cole, 7 pm, Sunday, April 1

Japanese Tea Garden, San Francisco As spiritual beings having a human experience, we are full and complete expressions of the Divine, this is our birthright, our true identity. Science of Mind teaches us that we are one, connected with all life. Is there a space between our humanity and divinity? The way in which we think of this, hold this in our consciousness promotes our oneness or the sense of separation. We choose, all the time. Calvin Johnson brings his talent and presence to fill our service with music. Come early as Calvin loves to sing for us. The service begins at 7 pm in Waggoner Hall, North Wing.  All are welcome.

"Roots and Shoots," Rev. Tara Steele, 7 pm, Sunday, March 25

April in Paris, Tara Steele This month our topic has been "Rooted in the Divine." Deep healthy roots are important to the blossoming of a flower or a human being. And, after a daffodil blooms, wise gardeners don't cut the leaves off at the base. They leave them to put nourishment from the sun back into the bulbs for the next year. Rev. Tara believes that, like tulips and daffodils, it is not enough to be rooted in the Divine. Though it is essential, we must also reach out to the world, bringing who we are and what is ours to do into full blossom and then renewal.  On Sunday evening, come share your thoughts as we sit together in spiritual community. The service begins at 7 pm in Waggoner Hall. All are welcome.

Science of Mind Q & A with Rev. Tara Steele and the Sunday Evening Services Team, 7 pm, March 18

Photo by Elijah Hiett on Unsplas h We celebrate 100 years of our teaching, the Science of Mind, this year. The teaching has evolved since Ernest Holmes published Creative Mind in 1918. It is a philosophy rich in observations, wisdom, and its share of jargon. Are you wondering what "we are One" means in your life? Do you want to know how our style of "affirmative prayer" differs from prayer in other faith traditions? Curious about how changing their thoughts has changed people's lives? This Sunday evening, the Sunday evening services team welcomes your questions, comments, insights. Join Maggie Cole, Elias Owens, Tara Steele, Marielle Taylor, and Sherry Vierra as we sit in circle to talk about what's on your mind about Science of Mind. The conversation begins at 7 pm in Waggoner Hall, North Wing. All are welcome.
